OUR VISION

Our vision is to provide exposure to the arts, including music, dance, and arts and crafts.

We want to include art activities suitable for children of all abilities, with an emphasis on children with special needs, including intellectual and physical disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

OUR GOAL

Our goal for Art for All is to stimulate each child’s creativity by exploring different art techniques to help them identify their own artistic ability. We want to engage these children in a creative environment to spark their artistic and musical talents, while educating caretakers and community members on the positive impact exposure to the arts has on children with disabilities.

EMBRACING ALL ABILITIES

We want to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and autism spectrum disorders by raising awareness about inclusiveness. Giving children with disabilities and ASD the opportunity to be involved in the arts can help with emotional and cognitive development and serves as an effective way to improve social skills and build self-confidence.

INCREASING OPPORTUNITY
We realize some children are inadvertently excluded from community events due to possible personal limitations, or the caregivers of some children are concerned that the events will not have the appropriate resources available to address the spontaneous needs of these children during the event.

We are hopeful that the Meridian community will join us in striving to be inclusive and sensitive to the unique needs of children with disabilities!
